This is because retractable folding arm awnings extend outwards, supported by folding arms that provide strength when extended with no need for sidearm or pole supports.

Acrylic – This lightweight material is most effective with larger awning spans and projections. This will also create a light filter rather than a complete block out.
As a standard option, our retractable awnings have a gearbox with a crank handle for easy operation. If, however, you prefer an effortless solution our Motorised Folding Arm Awnings are the perfect option. Available as a hard-wired 240V power option, a licensed electrician is required to complete the installation.
Additional upgrades can consist of a pelmet/hood or a completely enclosed cassette, to provide additional coverage to the main mechanism and fabric roll, which helps to maintain a longer life span as well as enhancing the look by neatly enclosing it.
Adjustable pitch control is also an additional upgrade if required for more variable light control.
